I made my first movie when I was 13 years old. At school I was so incredibly bored that one of the teachers allowed me to shoot a film instead of attending classes. Which I did, with the school’s own VHS camera. I took it very seriously. I wrote a script and shot -not only during that teacher’s lessons but also in the weekends. Gradually and with the help of my schoolmates, we took over the entire building and turning it into my studio. I was really passionate about it. For instance, the title of the film was from a desperate poem I had written about God refusing to wake up and help out. I guess I felt I needed to make that film in order to save the world if no one else would.
